Now That You Found Mr. Right . . .

Your fiance, your husband-to-be, your better half, however you refer to him, he will be the man that you will spend the rest of your life with. We want to hear all about him. How did you meet him?     I call my husband-to-be my bestfriend. I’m going to marry my bestfriend!. I can’t wait. We met through mutual friends and absolutely fell in love on our first date and we have been stuck at the hip ever since. He picked me up with a canoe on the top of his car, I had no clue what was about to happen. Our first date was a three hour canoe trip in Northern Michigan. I was hooked. With him and canoeing. We realized within the first few weeks that we were meant to be together forever. We moved in together and now 6 1/2 years later, WERE GETTING MARRIED!

    I was 19. After graduating high school with honors, I did the unthinkable and chose not to attend college. I wanted to rebel and I did. I smoked, drank, pierced my tongue, got tattoos, and was always with a different man. Then I met Mike. We became best friends and it led to love.

    If you have ever seen that movie “As Good as it Gets,” Jack Nicholson’s character tells Helen Hunt’s character that she makes him want to be a better man. Cheesy, but this is what happened with me. Mike made me want to be a better woman.

    So here I am. No longer smoking or drinking. My tongue is my own again. The tattoos are permanent unfortunately. Mike is the only man I want to be with for the rest of my life.

    He has made me into the person that I am, a person I can be proud of!
